Athletics at St. Cecelia Interparochial Catholic School

Physical fitness and team sports are vital to a well-rounded education. At St. Cecelia Interparochial Catholic School, we know that the benefits of athletics for children are not only apparent during their years at school but also throughout their lives. Teamwork, communication, and Christlike behavior are just some of the skills our athletes learn when they compete on our teams. Learn more about the athletic programs at St. Cecelia Interparochial Catholic School below.

At St. Cecelia Interparochial Catholic School, we are proud to offer several sports for our students to be a part of throughout the school year. From baseball and volleyball to basketball and soccer, our students have many opportunities to get involved in athletics at St. Cecelia Interparochial Catholic School. The order of our sports seasons are as follows:

  1. Girls Volleyball/Boys Flag Football(August, September, October)
  2. Girls Basketball/Boys Soccer (October, November, December)
  3. Girls Soccer/Boys Basketball/Cheerleading (December, January, February)
  4. Girls Flag Football/Boys Baseball (March, April)

Tryouts for each sport will be announced prior to the start of each season. A reminder to all athletes: in order to participate in sports at St. Cecelia Interparochial Catholic School, you will need an Athletic Clearance Physical Form from your doctor. A committee of principals, athletic directors, and physical education teachers collaborated to develop two documents which would assist school communities in developing athletic programming: Ethics for Coaches and Diocesan Guidelines for Interscholastic Athletics: Elementary and Middle School Catholic Schools. It is now mandated that all parents who volunteer coach for Catholic Schools in the Diocese must attend the Ethics, Safe Environment Training and a Background Check. To register, please go to the diocesan website.
