Clubs

Student Life

St. Cecelia offers many different extracurricular activities appealing to a wide range of student interest. Activities include choir, assorted clubs, student council, yearbook, student newspaper and many others. Students are encouraged to participate in in extracurricular activities, with the thought , that their involvement teaches responsibility and helps broaden their experience.

Green Team is for 4th through 8th grade students. Two gardening days will be offered after school or on the weekend. Students will collect paper and plastic bottles from classrooms on a weekly basis. There will be a monthly meeting, activity or guest speaker. A minimum of two field trips a year. A free Green team T-shirt to wear on  dress out days when you attend a meeting. The middle school meteorology groups will report weather weekly.

Library Club is for 4th through 8th grade students. The members will meet once a trimester to discuss events and scheduling. The Library Club will assist with the book Fair, The picturing America grant, Reading Across America, and the overall operation of the library.

Number Munchers is for Middle School students who will give extra help to those students who are in need of tutoring and also to give students an opportunity to share their math expertise with others 

Drama Club is for 3rd through 8th grade students. The club meets 2 times per month and elementary drama club concludes with a performance. The middle school drama club will participate in 2 plays a year.

Dance Club is for 4th through 8th grade members meet 2 times per month and will be performing at Jingle Mingle and at our main fundraiser.

Choir is for 3rd through 8th grade students and meet 2 times a month. Choir participates in all school masses and a performance at the Botanical Gardens.

Cheer leading Club is for 3rd through 8th grade students. The club meets every Wednesday and will learn and practice cheer leading techniques, cheers, chants, dance routines, jumps and strength and conditioning exercises.

Crusader Chronicle is for Middle School students who will meet most Wednesdays after school. The activities include writing, editing, compiling and publishing middle school newspaper.

Yearbook is for 8th grade students only. The students will meet most Tuesdays after school to design the yearbook cover, forming the layout and taking pictures at school functions.

Board and Card Games is for intermediate students only which meets every Wednesday for 6 weeks. This club will play board games at an intermediate level.

Bowling Club is for 1st through 8th grade students. The club will meet throughout the month of January to go bowling at AMF Clearwater Lanes.

Scrap booking Club is for 3rd through 8th graders in the month of January. The goal is to have a scrapbook with all the holiday memories.

Golf Club is for middle school students. It will be offered in the Fall and Spring and teaches the basic golf techniques.
