FES – UA: Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (Formerly Gardiner and McKay)

Qualifying and Applying for FES-UA The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) is available to students ages 3 to 22 with the following diagnoses: • Anaphylaxis • Autism spectrum disorder • Cerebral Palsy • Down syndrome • Emotional or a behavioral disability • Hearing impairment, including deafness • High-risk child • Hospital or homebound • Identification as dual sensory impaired • Intellectual disability (severe cognitive impairment) • Language impairment • Muscular dystrophy • Orthopedic impairment • Other health impairment • Phelan-McDermid syndrome • Prader-Willi syndrome • Rare diseases (defined by NORD).

The UA scholarship amount varies depending on the Unique Ability but can cover 100% of tuition and fees. Please apply through the Step Up EMA link:  https://www.stepupforstudents.org/ema/

FTC and FES: Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) and the Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES-EO)

Step Up For Students Family Empowerment (FES) and Florida Tax Credit Scholarships (FTC) are scholarships available to all families who are Florida residents and have students in grades K-12 regardless of income. The scholarship amount varies by grade level and covers approximately $7,800 to $8,400 of private school tuition in Pinellas County.  Please apply through the Step Up EMA link,  https://www.stepupforstudents.org/ema/

Florida VPK Voucher

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten scholarships in the amount of $3,096 are available to all 4 year olds in the state of Florida.  Please find more information under: Florida Voluntary PreKindergarten Program | Early Learning Coalition (elcpinellas.net)

St. Cecelia Tuition Assistance Fund

(Pre-K to Grade 8) Each year funds are set aside in the school’s operating budget to help families offset some of the additional costs (such as fees and extended day care) not covered by the Step Up/AAA scholarships  Funding priority is given to Pre-K for help with tuition since those students are not eligible for Step Up/AAA until Kindergarten. https://online.factsmgt.com/aid
