Principal's Message

Welcome to the St. Cecelia School website!  Whether you have come upon our site intentionally or you have simply been surfing the web, I am happy that you have found us.  I hope you enjoy your visit in the virtual corridor to our school.

St. Cecelia School was established in 1948 and has enjoyed being a part of the rich history and growth of the City of Clearwater.  Founded by the Sisters of the Holy Names, St. Cecelia School has a strong Catholic foundation, and is dedicated to the academic excellence and ethical preparedness of our students for the global community.  St. Cecelia School’s mission is for all our children to be given the opportunity to open their hearts to God, minds to learning and talents to service.  As a school known for its vision and foresight, we began our second five year Strategic Plan in 2007.  We are an interparochial school serving St. Brendan, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Cecelia and Light of Christ parishes.  We are accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference.  St. Cecelia School’s staff is committed to the care of our students, physically, socially, morally, and academically.  We pride ourselves on the use of best practices in the learning environment.

We are one family in Christ.  Our parents are frequently on campus supporting the administration and faculty, in the classroom learning activities, clubs and sports.   We welcome this partnership which enables St. Cecelia School to be the best in its class.   With a nationally acclaimed Outstanding School Advisory Commission and active Home and School Association, we continually work as a team for the continued success of our students.

It has been my pleasure to be an administrator at St. Cecelia School for twelve years, seven as principal.  In the those years there has been no greater joy than to enthusiastically lead an experienced faculty and staff creating a Christian environment where the students experience inquiry, understanding, collaboration, critical thinking, and reflection.
